Information about The WASS Ethiopian Restaurant
Food allergies seem to be an ever growing challenge for many people.  I know first hand what it's like to try to find a restaurant that can meet the health needs of my own family especially when it comes to staying away from wheat.  Although wheat is not necessarily an issue for many of you reading this, gluten is.  As a result, we want you to know that at The WASS Ethiopian Restaurant in downtown Hamilton, Ontario we do have 100% Gluten-Free Options for your taste buds delight.

Wassie wants you to know that after a long delay, Ethiopian Honey Wine has arrived. The National drink of Ethiopian is Honey Wine called Tej--a golden sweet and dry wine. Tej is one or the world’s earliest fermented drinks Consumed before the time of Christ. Tej was one of the many gifts carried by Makeda, the queen of Sheba to Jerusalem’s King Solomon.

WASS Ethiopian Restaurant was a fantastic experience. Vegan option was excellent, very healthy, very tasty. Definitely try the Coffee!!

Everything is enjoyable about this restaurant . . . sampled all of the vegetarian dishes and they all have an abundance of flavor and are of great quality. I hope that the residents of Hamilton will support this restaurant as they are truly deserving. Prices are very fair.

Open only since the beginning of September, Wass will win more than its share of adoring traffic simply for what it is: an Ethiopian restaurant.

Everything we have tried has been unique, delicious and abundant. We always leave feeling very satisfied.

Everything was delicious and we couldn't believe how many different flavours were on one plate.

Dining is an experience in itself. This is an excellent addition to Hamilton and I say it's a must try!!

It was our first time eating Ethiopian, but it was a sensual and delicious experience.

Great food, friendly service. Highly suggest the combos - great value and equally pleasing to vegetarians which was great for us. Will be back soon!

. . . the vegetarian platter is definitely the most approachable dish. However, diners who enjoy Indian cuisine will find many of the intense flavours and textures of Ethiopian dishes familiar. You don’t have to be a culinary adventurer to enjoy Wass . . .

That would be Wassie's mother.  A true Ethiopian culinary expert. :)
